Pain Management Transformation: Preventing Chronic Pain and the Opioid Crisis – “Connect, Understand, Engage” (CUE)
CUE is designed to provide necessary skills to change the conversation around chronic pain management, by Connecting with the patient, creating a deeper Understanding of his/her overall health and then Engaging the patient in non-opioid alternatives (CUE). Participants will practice skills to create trust, compassion, and patient empowerment leading to a successful and sustainable non-opioid pain management approach. The course is led by faculty from the Institute of Healthcare Excellence.
Coupled with changing the conversation, participants will be able to offer patients the Personalized Activated Care and Training (PACT) program. This program uses both telehealth coaching and a digital training platform to help patients manage their pain. Use of PACT with your patients allows you to provide preventative medicine counseling, which is reimbursable, hence supporting your practice while improving your patients’ outcomes.
The CUE Program and PACT Can:
Participants learn clear, effective communication, shared decision-making, and patient-centered care techniques to create a culture of trust, compassion, patient empowerment, and excellence in pain management.
The Institute for Healthcare Excellence (IHE) in partnership with the International Myopain Society (IMS) co-created this course with the core initiative to improve healthcare quality and safety. Transformative care includes both training and treatment of patients to achieve long-term success and patient satisfaction while enhancing the joy and resiliency of clinical practice.
