The Institute for Healthcare Excellence (IHE) in partnership with the International Myopain Society (IMS) has co-created a training course for healthcare professionals to improve non-opioid and care management of patients with pain conditions that includes the patient, family, and caregiver experience by generating an environment of excellence and long-term success. The centerpiece initiative is learning to improve quality and safety in healthcare by acquiring skills of clear and effective communication, shared decision-making, and patient-centered care to create a culture of trust, compassion, patient empowerment, and excellence in pain management. Transformative care includes both training and treatment of patients to achieve long-term success and patient satisfaction while enhancing the joy and resiliency of clinical practice. These skills are woven throughout the CUE for Pain Management Transformation Program.
